HUKARI has supported both the CH2MHILL Hanford Group (CHG) and Fluor Hanford with Nuclear Safety and D&D Engineering services.
HUKARI’s Safety Basis support for CHG’s existing facility and D&D of the dangerous waste Tank Farm facilities included:

For Fluor Hanford, HUKARI has supported the Nuclear Safety organization for K-Basin Spent Nuclear Fuel (SNF) in transferring spent nuclear fuel from DOE reactor storage pools to dry storage facilities. HUKARI has also supported the Engineering and Nuclear Safety organizations for the Plutonium Finishing Plant (PFP) in D&D of the former weapons production facility. Specific tasks have included:

HUKARI has contributed to the success of nuclear safety at the Hanford Site, successfully meeting tight schedules, on budget. We have been instrumental in implementing the USQ program, helping to define and expedite the review approval process. We have successfully closed open USQ issues and JCOs, and successfully supported new projects, such as assisting in implementation of a new Web-based, automated USQ system.
