HUKARI has provided staff augmentation, featuring day-to-day support of the Pantex Plant facilities and programs since 2001, including for nuclear explosive bays, cells, special purpose facilities, staging facilities, transportation activities, and weapons programs. Specific Engineering and Nuclear Safety Support has included:

• Mechanical, Civil, Structural, and Electrical Engineering

• Fire Protection Engineering

• Software Quality Assurance

• 10CFR830 Safety Bases Development, Review Implementation and Maintenance (including Hazards Analysis

• Safety Analysis Reports (SAR)s

• Documented Safety Analysis (DSA)s,

• Technical Safety Requirements (TSR)s

• Unreviewed Safety Question (USQ) in support of facility and weapons projects including more than 1200 Unreviewed Safety Question Determinations (USQD)s in the last 3 years

• Configuration Management

• Change Control

• Conduct of Operations

The initiative, hard work and enthusiasm of HUKARI personnel has enhanced working relationships among Pantex program people and organizations, circumventing many day-to-day challenges, and resulting in successful completion of contract requirements. For example, HUKARI personnel have assisted in developing a database used by multiple programs to streamline a consistent, managed approach to hazard and accident analysis development. This effort has already saved hundreds of man-hours of work, and expense.
