Ascendent Receives Second U.S. Small Business Administration Award
Ascendent Engineering & Safety Solutions, LLC was once again nominated by a DOE Prime Contractor as Small Business Subcontractor of the Year. Since January 2007, Ascendent has been providing specialists in Engineering, Design, and Safety for work on the MOX Project in Aiken, SC. On May 25, 2010 in recognition of outstanding contribution and service to Shaw AREVA MOX Services in satisfying the needs of the Federal procurement system, Ascendent was recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) with the “Administrators Award for Excellence”. This is the second time in two years that Ascendent has received this significant business recognition.
Hukari Press Release – LANL MTOA Award
Los Alamos National Security, LLC has selected Hukari Technical Services, Inc. (HUKARI), a Veteran-Owned business, to provide site-wide safety basis nuclear and non-nuclear support services to the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in Los Alamos, New Mexico. Under this $60 million, three-year plus two option years contract, HUKARI will perform safety analysis and associated safety basis activities as identified in separately awarded task orders.
HUKARI was awarded the MTOA contract under the full and open portion of Los Alamos National Security's procurement competition, and entered the competition as the lead subcontractor of a team including the following companies: Sonalysts, Inc.; Nuclear Safety Associates, Inc.; Energy Solutions, Inc.; M.H. Chew & Associates, Inc.; ABS Consulting Inc.; and Hughes Associates, Inc.
